Just seen the sad news that the greatest goalpoacher of them all has passed away.

30 goals and 33 points in 36 games.
And a fair shot of them after donating a kidney to his brother!

I remember a league game against Limerick, in Limerick. Cork scored loads of goals, but Limerick scored tons of points and were leading by 2 points in the dying seconds of the game when Cork got a 21-yard free, well to the left of the posts. It was a goal or nothing. Charlie McCarthy took the free and slipped it across to Seanie, who turned and stuck it into the back of the Limerick net.

And I remember another one against Limerick, championship this time I think, when someone passed the ball out to an in rushing Seanie, who first-timed it over the bar from forty yards out.

Great, great scores and great, great memories.
