Iveleary look strong here. Think they will beat Millstreet in Macroom in their next game. Aghabullogue beating Mitchelstown is a shock.

Would expect Uibh Laoire, Kilshannig, Mitchelstown and Dromtarriffe to get through. Uibh Laoire have been the most impressive and are on a roll, I wouldn't bet against them.

Uíbh Laoire 3-14, Aghabullogue 1-5. That's impressive. Hard to imagine they were playing junior 6 months ago

Final tomorrow in the Páirc, Iveleary v Mitchelstown at 1pm. Iveleary are on a roll but so are Mitchelstown (if you include Ballygiblin) but they might be down a few players including Cathail O'Mahony (and Mark Keane). Ill go for Iveleary to contuiue their rise up through the ranks

Re: Intermediate A Football Championship
Uibh Laoire 0-20, Mitchelstown 0-7. Thats some walloping, UL have been brilliant this year, thrashing everyone. 6 months ago they were playing junior. Very impressive from them, wish they could have represented Cork in Munster Club.
Someone saying Cathail O'Mahony only lasted 5 minutes. Thats concerning. He's turning into a player who is constantly injured.

Re: Intermediate A Football Championship
O Mahony is probably another lost cause as far as Cork football is concerned but we have an equally good, if not better replacement in Chris Og Jones. He's a scoring machine and I'm looking forward to seeing him perform against intercounty defenders. I suspect that if he gets decent ball he'll burn most of them. I smiled when I heard Colm O Neill praise his ability to 'not spill' possession even when tackled. That , unfortunately, was Colm's only weakness but a glaring one nevertheless.
Barry O Leary and Vaughan will probably get a call to arms as well.

Re: Intermediate A Football Championship
Went to Kilshanning vs Ballydesmond in Banteer. Extremely one-sided game, Ballydesmond were like a bad junior side at times. I don't reckon they would win Duhallow at this stage. Honestly, they don't look coached at all, kicking in 50:50 balls to small men, not sign of a plan at all. At 41, DOC was playing between midfield and centre forward. They are so reliant on him and he is still top class at this level. Kilshannig were decent not spectacular but if they get the O'Hanlons back they should make a good run at the County.

Sunday results
Gabriel's 3-16, Ballydesmond 1-13
Kildorrery 2-13, St Nick's 0-7. Nicks will end up junior B at this rate, and they won't give a shit
Ballinora 2-9, Dromtarriffe 1-9
Adrigole 1-13, Kilshannig 0-9. I would have thought Kilshannig would win that one

Re: Intermediate A Football Championship
Quarter Finals:
1. Aghabullogue v Kildorrery
2. Mitchelstown v Dromtarriffe
3. Adrigole v Boherbue
4. Glanworth v Kilshannig
Ballydesmond, St Nicks, Millstreet, and St Finbarr's relegated to the new Premier Junior grade for 2023
St Nicks have gone from Senior to Junior in record time. Just shows you the lopsided nature of our championships when despite not winning any games for years, a few auld men at their AGM get to decide their grade
