If Hugh O Connor was a year older you could put your money on Newmarket. I don't think he's allowed to play in adult
competitions yet, but without doubt he's the best forward we have seen in yonks.

Newmarket win by a point in a tight finish and without Hugh. I think it was 15 to 14. They have a few dandy forwards anyway and came from 2 down with time almost up. The winner came from a short kickout by the Kanturk keeper and the poor man won't sleep for a week when he thinks about his error.
Good reffing in both games and the pitch is a credit to somebody we don't know. Again its no more than we should expect after spending over 100 million €€€€€.

Btw can anyone tell me how Newmarket got possession straight from the Kanturk kick-out after the equalising point?
I wasn't at the game, I was watching it on the Examiner stream and they were showing a replay of Newmarket's equalising point. It looked like a cock-up by Kanturk.
