He's playing. Decent game.
I've a question and I'm not stirring the pot here - James McCarthy seems to be over Castlehaven. He's a full time GDA. It's that allowed? Or at least does it create an unfair advantage. I presume he's a Castlehaven man anyway

He is 'Haven and he is allowed. GDA's can coach and manage at club level. They are prohibited by Croke Park from working for their Counties i.e. their employers as the fear was that Counties would appoint a manager and make him a (mar é ea) GDA to hide his payments.

I thought it was a poor enough game. Nemo took their goal chances, Haven didn't. Both teams struggled to link their play with their inside men. Both teams' kickouts were rusty, both teams' skills were rusty - sign of the COVID times.

Scrappy game and nemo deserved the win because they could finish a score, some of the efforts from the haven including cork seniors were way off and their brittleness at the back left them too much to do……a young lad called Kerrigan from nemo best on view, has a bright future ahead of him

Ya, I was only half-taking notes today but I made it that Haven missed 3-10 and Nemo missed 1-07.

I had this recorded so I could watch it after the Camogie. I found it quite entertaining.

Castlehaven would be really nowhere without the Hurleys. I wonder if Larry could be persuaded to come out of retirement.

For anyone who collects digital versions of programs (as I do; much easier to store!), the CCB has kindly provided a downloadable match program of the Football final. It's in PDF format, which can be opened in practically every computer.

Douglas 1-15, Carrigaline 0-9
Castlehaven 2-12, Newcestown 1-10
Carbery Rangers 1-9, Eire Og 1-15
St Finbarrs 2-15, 1-17Ballincollig 1-17

Good win for Eire Óg who're just up from Senior A. I heard the Barrs were well up at one stage and nearly blew it. They'll all fancy their chances now after the Nemo result

What's the story now with Divisional teams particularly Duhallow with several "small senior" clubs.   Can the Knocknagree/Kanturk/Kiskeam and Newmarket lads play with Duhallow?

I think that was Ballincollig that Clon beat. Last minute point from a free by their Kerryman Dara O Shéa ac cording to d'Echo.
Ilen put up a good show against a depleted Barrs and I still can't understand how they got into the top grade in the 1st place.
Fair play to them, small pick and surrounded by heavyweights.
