Obviously not while Cork are still in the AI. Looks like they didn't need him, anyway.

Seandun 3.17
Muskerry 0.16
Seandún back in the bigtime. Justin McCarthy over them
Incidently, the Echo has some photos from the game and it looks like both teams wore white jerseys, the only difference being the colour of their shorts. How is that allowed happen?

Blackrock beaten by Erin's Own tonight, 2-18 to 1-19. That's last year's champions beaten in both codes

Erins Own win really sets the tone for this c’ship. The groups along with relegation/promotion will really stand to the quality on show in time. Barr’s and C’ville will be a cracker today as both will know a win could be massive. Have a feeling this group will come down to scoring difference

This is exactly what this championship needs. 100% agree with you corkboy
We need cut throat championship games at all levels where every ball is fought for. This will enable a general raising of standards across the board and will feed directly into our intercounty teams. In years to come, IMO, the realignment of the County Championships will have been the best thing to have happened Cork hurling in 20 years. And it staring us in the face all this time. But refusal by an outdated Executive and clubs more interested in their status and image stymied that.
The refresh button has been pressed.

Re: Premier Senior Hurling Championship 2021
Half time score in the Midleton/Carrigtwohill game:
Midleton 0-13; Carrigtwohill 1-5
Midleton led 7 points to 2 at the first water break. However they still seem to have this tendency to let teams who need goals score them. It was a large part of what happened last year and the problem is still, evidently, with them.

Looking at the team sheet, some strange positionings by Midleton, including Tommy O'Connell at center-back while Sean O'Leary-
Hayes is in the subs.
Hayes is in the subs.

Douglas hammered Glen Rovers 0-24 to 1-10. That's a result that'll shake things up a bit.
Sars 2-28, Na Piarsaigh 2-14
Barrs 4-22, Charleville 2-15. I heard the Barrs were very impressive

That's impressive by Sars, as well.

Re: Premier Senior Hurling Championship 2021
Some quite lopsided games this weekend but definitely makes this wend very interesting. Expect to see a response from the Glen and the Rockies and C’ville game should be a cracker now. Sars by all accounts were excellent and looks like they will go very close this year

Re: Premier Senior Hurling Championship 2021
Great second half to the Barrs V Erins Own game. Great comeback by Erins Own they kept hanging in and got the draw. The young Barrs players will look back on this game and say to themselves we could have done better with the amount of possession they won but they will learn from a game like this and I am sure they will go on to greater things. As for Erins Own they are never beaten until you are back in the dressing room. Was a good game to watch, thanks to the Irish Examiner. Referee and his officials could have done a bit better.

I tried a number of twitter accounts without any updates joy. In the end, I had to follow the Examiner's live stream.
