Munster (and All-Ireland) Under-20 Hurling Championship 2020
Under 20 Hurlers
Good to hear that Pat Ryan is the manager.
Bord Gáis Energy Munster U20 Hurling Championship
Wednesday, October 21: Quarter-finals: Tipperary v Clare; Cork v Kerry.
Tuesday, October 27: Semi-final: Limerick v Cork/Kerry.
Wednesday, October 28: Semi-final: Waterford v Tipperary/Clare.
Final on Wednesday, November 11.
There was an article in the Echo (to which I can get no link) which presupposed that the make up of the team would be heavily influences by the U-17 winning team of 2017. It gave that team as:
Eoin Davis,
Eoin Roche, Ciaran Nyhan, Ronal Sheehan,
Cormac O'Brien, Conor O'Callaghan, Aaron Walsh Barry,
Daire Connery, Sean Twomey,
Brian Roche, Declan Hanlon, Tommy O'Connell,
Blake Murphy, Joe Stack, Colin O'Brien
Subs: Ronal McCarthy for Cormac O'Brien (temp. 23-30), Owen McCarthy for O'Connell, Shane Barrett for Murphy.

Munster Under-21 Hurling Quarter-Final
Cork 2-24; Kerry 2-10
Hogan Stand Report
Cork progress past Kingdom at rain soaked Austin Stack Park
Cork Scorers:
Brian Roche 1-3, Tommy O'Connell 0-5 (0-3 frees), Brian Hayes 1-2, Daire O'Leary 0-4, Shane O'Regan 0-3, Sam Quirke 0-2, Brian O'Sullivan 0-2, Eoin Carey 0-2, Colin O'Brien 0-2, Alan Connolly 0-1,
That makes 26 points, so something amiss with the HS article.

Re: Munster (and All-Ireland) Under-20 Hurling Championship 2020
Hopefully thats the team that wins our first hurling all ireland in forever. I see Cork are favourites, I haven't seen Dublin play at all so can't really comment. Lack of a semi final might be a problem

Probably the most important hurling game Cork play this year.

Whats going on here? A Cork hurling team who are all attacking the ball, blowing Dublin outta it and forwards who can actually win a puck out and stick it over the bar?? Are we sure this isn't Louth?!

Good so far. Need to keep the boot on the throat now, since the fast start Dublin have kept with us.

Just need to keep composure and shape here and not concede a goal

Thank God. A long horrible record broken. Well done to all involved. What a great sight to see Cork men horsing fellas out over the line, flattening any runners going through the middle and emerging from rucks ball in hand.

This was a very good win, built on a brilliant start. Dublin were good, but for once Cork did what all winning teams must do; don't give the other team an even break and never relax.

Re: Munster (and All-Ireland) Under-20 Hurling Championship 2020
Brilliant. Huge congrats to them, Dublin came at them but they did as I asked.
Most of those players will go on and form the nucleas of our senior team. Some excellent players there
To me, one thing that really stands out is the management team. The team were coached perfectly, destroyed a team early on who played only 2 weeks ago verses 7 months inactive. The players were aggressive and hungry but disciplined. One again, underperforming players were whipped off no matter their high profile name. Everything was done for the team and Cork hurling. Outstanding sideline performance. I'd give em the Cork Senior job next year. Imagine not performing for the likes of Wayne Sherlock in the dressing room.
Compare them to the Itchy and Scratchy rabble we have on our football sideline. No comparison.
