Cork V Kerry behind a pay wall should Cork beat Limerick. That's 4 major Cork Munster games not free to air

Probably only affects people with poor or limited internet access and if we are to believe Larry and others, these games wouldn't have been shown on TV anyway.
I think GAAGO and Rebelsonline @ €80 per season is great value, when we consider the hassle of traffic and
parking etc. Blocking off the access to P UI Chaoimh at the CAB end at the behest of residents ( I don't blame them) is making access to the ground and marquee parking very difficult. The approach from the South Ring now forces us to drive almost into the city before turning back to the marquee parking. Whoever decided to spend over €100 million on upgrading that place should be shot with a ball of his own sh one T. Wouldn't have cost much more to build a proper stadium on a green field site at either end of the city.

I'm not against gaago or the price. I'm a little peeved that Corks munster games are unfairly blocked considering how many other counties matches are behind the pay wall for Munster championship. 4/5 are now pay per view and or subscription based. And yes, I'm unselfishly thinking of my elderly father, uncles and neighbours

Jamie Wall ( One of our own) explains it on today's Examiner. At least his take on it.
The other thing is, and I'm loath to say it, we (Cork) didn't get out of Munster last year," said Wall. "We came fourth. I'm a Man United fan, it's like complaining why are we the 3pm Saturday kick-off and not the tv kick-off? Because Spurs are better than us right now.
"They're better to watch. People want to watch them more than they want to watch us. That's the same thing here. RTÉ made the pick. RTÉ decided we want to show Limerick-Clare.
"Imagine if Limerick-Clare was put on GAAGO, the conspiracy theories would be out there, 'Oh, they're only trying to sell subscriptions'. The thing is, you're going to upset someone no matter what you pick. We're seeing more games than ever now.

That's part of the problem. The Jacks who are all right forget - and really don't care about - the Jacks who aren't. The more their paywalls are endorsed by supporters, the more the head honchos are inclined to disregard the disadvantaged. What they are doing is restricting access to some supporters. How that is "promoting the games" escapes me. Football, because of its reach, will probably survive, but limiting access to hurling matches seems brain dead to me. In that respect fair play to Donal Og, Michael Duignan and John Arnold.

Thanks Podsy.
A few interesting additions to the subs bench. At long last Fionn Herlihy gets to start.
Can't see Mattie staying in the No4 spot or Blake Murphy staying in the No13 position either.
I would have liked to see Lordan and O Shea start but perhaps a bit of bench time will get them blooded for later on.
No sign of Jack Lawton?

Jack Lawton is struggling to get fit. Played no adult championships with his club this year except for a camio apperancce in one championship game. Not on the panel. The poor lad is plagued with injuries.
Totally agreed about Fionn as he got no league game time this year and at the same time played no league with Dohenys. Committed to cork football and I hope he gets his reward

Cork 3-12, Meath 1-9. Blake Murphy with 1-5, 5 from frees. Ian Maguire and Colm Ó Callaghan with the other goals.
I know I give out about them normally but the Cork gaa coverage of these games has been good, especially Twitter. Hopefully they can keep it going into next year's league

Re: Cork Senior Football 2024
Cathal had an excellent game last Sunday but has had an average championship campaign with the haven. He is inconsistent. Anyway he should get plenty of game time with cork if management think he is good enough and 2 of the management are his uncles

If Cleary is one, who is the 2nd uncle?
Whatever about his past performances, what he did last Sunday in extra/extra time marks him down
as a very good player. We'll only know if he's intercounty standard if he gets a few chances to prove it.
