Watching it now. Christ that Ref needs to learn how to let the play develop before blowing his whistle

That's more like it - Well done to the players and the management for turning it around big time - We had all the ingredients required there last night and B O'C is back!!!! - Nobody bullies his teams - Big win and now lets move onto to Tip tomorrow and Friday evening

Offaly win by 3 in the end

Couple of pitch invasions at the end. Looks like the two hungriest counties in hurling Ireland are Offaly and ourselves

Closer than last time anyway. Tipp to me are getting the close calls from that ref who has penalised Cork for over carrying a good few times.

The slowest Cork team I've ever seen. It's as if they were trying to wade through treacle.

I can't see why the ref gave Tipperary some of those frees. The Cork decision to pass a simple free in front of the goal rather than putting it over the bar seems to have knocked their composure a bit. But they're well able for this Tipp team and as long as they don't concede any goals, they have a chance.

Disappointg. 15 or so wides. A goal not given. A very soft goal conceded. Some players anonymous. Ref gave some awful soft frees to Tipp.

Cork denied a legitimate goal when the Tipp goalkeeper carried the ball behind the post. How did the umpire fail to spot it?

Cork dominated that second half, but the scandalous wides and chaotic defending cost them when they gifted Tipp a goal.

Strange for a Cork team that they won most of the long high balls into the forward line!

Far too many wides unfortunately and when Healy was rugby tackled at the end, surely that was a goalscoring opportunity and , under the new rules, a penalty? For the umpire to miss the goal by Cork simply begs belief.

Is there a case under the new rules that the last free should have been a penalty. Deliberate pull down preventing a goal scoring chance. We'd probably have taken the point anyway

It was certainly a black card/penalty under the new rules; unless it doesn't apply in under age?

Kind of ridiculous that it only applies at Senior level. Definitely one that got away.

I wouldn't worry about it with this team anyway. Buckley, Healy, Tobin, the goalie, a few more should be all make a decent stab at making it at Senior level.

Just one of those nights. Loss might just keep these guys hungry. I can't remember the last time I saw a Cork team make so many spectacular catches. It's the cornerstone of the modern game.

The black card & penalty rule for pulling down a player with a goalscoring chance being absent from underage games is completely bizarre. Is the thinking that because they're young they can't be cynical? That's a fairly naive view of sport and of life in general, and it cost Cork tonight.

Should have won by about six points regardless. Main positive would be that you don't see where the stardust is coming from for Tipp to get them back competing any time soon, at least not from that group they had out tonight although Darragh McCarthy looked very good. Reminded me a lot of the 2018 under-21 all Ireland final where Cork were comfortably the better team but had a howler of a day shooting wise, and Tipp won it with a goal that was thrown but somehow wasn't blown, ironically at the same end as the ghost goal tonight.

Last night was one of those nights where nothing went right for Cork in so far as putting scores on the board. Team otherwise hurled well and there will be 4 or 5 very good players who will step up to the plate and will wear the red of Cork for years to come if they commit to it.
Cork would have been better off if they went and played that game in Thurles. The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick is what I would describe a graveyard for Cork hurling teams. We just have no luck there whatever.
The munster Council will have to have a serious look at the officials they are putting in charge of these finals. The missed goal by the umpires last night was a howler, not a mistake, and public admission of same should be made by the mu nster Council. It is not good enough to brush it under the carpet and move on. This panel of players, with their management are preparing for this championship probably for the past six months to end up losing a provincial final by the actions of totally incompetent officials. I feel the report by whoever was accessing that team of officials at last night's game should be made available to the Cork County Board for perusal and to share with the team management.

From a football viewpoint following that display I suppose that's Hugh O Connor's immediate future in the red jersey settled.
If the hurlers are still in it after the weekend I wouldn't be surprised if the hurling boys will be shrewd enough to add O Connor, Tobin and one or two others to the extended SH training panel.
It would be hard to blame him when you contrast the recent excitement and atmosphere in PUC and Thurles with the blind alley running and self sabotage we are likely to see in a half empty P U Rinn next Saturday.
And if it doesn't work out he can always fall back in with the footballers.

Disappointing result last night - We were definitely the architects of our own loss - It has to be mentioned though that the umpires made a complete balls of it and for some reason Clare Refs don't seem to like Cork that much - An awful lot of inconsistencies on the way he reffed that match last night leaves a lot to be desired.
However, 2 positives - We're starting to catch the ball over our head - Hallelujah - Some of the fetching was Kilkennyesque - Young Tobin for example was fantastic and certainly put his hand up (excuse the pun) for IC Senior Hurling in the future and 2) which team would you prefer to have going forward on your side and show more potential ? Easy one to answer me thinks
Finally, this group of players (since they were minors) have given us great enjoyment and we should be thankful for their efforts and of course management efforts also
