O Hanlon has had enough with injuries, all the rest getting little or no game time. Sherlock and Hurley playing for the same spot and Hurley gets the nod always

I note that on PROC posters are saying that some of those players are retiring. Taking a year out, you have no guarantee that a place will be available for you next year. Best of luck to them, all the same.

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Where are they getting the inside info? Nothing of the printed Press about these retirements.
Easy to see how Clancy and O Rourke would fold their tents but O Hanlon is injury free and played well on Sunday with his club.
Sherlock is a good footballer but was always a fraction south of being a dangerous forward.
Gore looked promising a few years ago but probably realised that there are others ahead of him now in the pecking order.
Overall it's good to see changes IMHO

I remember Gore doing wreak at under 20 when we won that All Ireland. Such a pity that he never kicked on. Left footed corner forwards who can score are dime a dozen
Bit of a cull going on whether it's forced or optional. Last one didn't go too well. A chance to freshen up the squad but things like that take a few years to work out

Things could hardly get worse Tipp.
Beaten by the smallest county, struggling to stay in Div.2.
Perhaps a season in Div 3 would wake us up?
We are so far down the scale in in terms of A I contenders that the word Cork
doesn't even get a mention by the pundits.
I can't see that changing any time soon either now that the hurlers are realistic contenders.

League games in 2025
Home
Roscommon
Meath
Louth
Westmeath
Away
Cavan
Down
Monaghan
Realistically, you'd be targeting 3 home wins, maybe even 4. Christ, if we're any way good, you'd be looking to beat Cavan and Dow.n away as well
Heard Dan Ó Duinnin and Hugh O Connor into the panel

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Dineens last day in Croker with his club was a disaster.
Previous runs with Cork weren't great either and I very much doubt if he is intercounty standard.
Hugh O Connor is a talented footballer but has a hurling medal in his póca and it surprises me to hear he's with the footballers now.
Let's hope we handle the new rules of gaelic football better than the old ones and Danno produces the football that he showed us as a teenager.
