Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Does anybody know why we still don't have a player capable of kicking a 45 over the bar?
It's incredible that this basic skill hasn't been coached.
It will cost us soon IMHO.

Surely Kelly should be having a cut. Hurley doesn't seem to have the range or the accuracy.

What about Sherlock? Where is Cathail O'Mahony in his rehab?

Sherlock isn't a starter and O Mahony same story for now.
Somebody over yonder has suggested Brian O Driscoll saying he popped them over easily
when with Tadg Macs.
Seems a shame that we have now arrived on the big stage and are leaving this scoring opportunity
go abegging.

Is there a bolter anywhere? Mark Cronin? McSweeney.. Luke Fahy at HF?
I'm hearing Donncha Ó Connor still plays for Ballydesmond
Christ I'm gone full Proc here.
It wont happen and it'll be the same team next time

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Apologies. I was talking from play.
Still, probably a, worse problem as we head deeper.
The Cork starting team is like a brick in the side of my bedroom wall.
Its there, it painted over, if it wasn't there in fuckedr and it'll never move.It just sits there
To be fair were going well

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
There's no bolter around Tipp.
Perhaps I'm making an issue of something irrelevant.
We only got the one lonely 45 last Sat. which Cronin put wide.
ASAIK Donegal didn't have one.
Must do a bit of scouring to see if there's a stat to tell us the
ratio of 45s scored/missed per game.
It annoys me to see how poor we are at taking these scoring opportunities especially as we are way behind average on points from distance.

For Tyrone game. That young lad Canavan looks a serious operator, always buzzing around, 2 footer and scores.
Need someone planted in on him straight away

I presume you mean Tyrone game Tipp?
There's two of them sons of God, and both very good.
Our defense hasn't been found wanting so far so those Canavan boys
will need all their tricks to get past.
Their No 2 Devlin is a huge threat as is Mattie Donnelly.

Can we win this tomorrow?
Edit - Apparently Brian Hurley is a major doubt with a hamstring. I ask again, what are we doing in training? No other county gets this shit

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Massive massive game against a potentially dog of a team in Tyrone. A win here would be so massive for cork football and set this team up for a real tilt to reach a semi final and hopefully allow Hurley and fahy be available for selection.
Tyrone have a fair number of newer players introduced and we have a fairly experienced team at this stage so hopefully that might tilt it in our direction, need to be scoring more then 9/10 points however

Re: Cork senior football team 2022
Think back to our first league game versus Donegal. Tyrone will fancy themselves to be able to demoralise us in a dour dogfight and we must accept that they can dictate what type of a game transpires. Mentally we need to accept this and play accordingly. Be patient, play them at their own game, no silly turnovers and draw the frees. Take it to the last 10-15 minutes within 3 points and I'd give us a good chance

Not mainstream TV anyway.

Canavans getting a little too much room. But that's down to them being so quick and smart too. In the genes. Game is definitely there for Cork to win if they can flex their muscles and take control. It's about breaking Tyrone's spirit

Corbett really needs to show the magic we know he has. We need it now more than ever. A draw is good enough for us but a victory would mentally be priceless

We'll finish 3rd in the group. Very harsh
Did they change the ref at HT. We're getting nothing here

Brutal Brutal 2nd half. Cork lads running into each other, losing kickouts, not enough penetration. Headless chickens come to mind
