Re: Cork Minor Football
Clifford must have insulted somebody as he's now in the extra panel rather than the subs bench. Conversely Niall O Shea Urhan jumps from Extra to No 2. James O Riordan Castlemagner also gone into the extra group and Mark O Brien Ballinora takes Clifford's place in midfield.
Liam Hourihan last weeks No 2 is now a sub.
Let's hope Tipp don't surprise everybody.

Our kinfolk over yonder say Clifford picked up an injury.
Makes sense as I thought he played well against Kerry.

I'm always wary of tipp when theyre minor hurlers are gone early they can throw a few of the hurlers in and be very competitive, this is also theyre 4th game, that would have to stand to them

How right you are. For 3/4 of this game Tipp looked a better team mainly because our boys continued to
cough up hard won possessions. I'm not blaming them BTW. It can't be easy for young lads to concentrate
away from home and Thurles can be a daunting place against any Tipp team.
Thankfully they came good in the end and we must mention Tim Cullinane and Denis O Mullane who kept us in it
as we waited for the big guns to click into gear. Sheedy didn't but Coakley did and when they got rolling the net
shook a few times.
WD lads

A win is a win, missed the whole thing, was out in the club, so cant really comment, move on and get ready for a crack at Kerry again

Kerry win the other semi-final (natch), 1-19 to 1-2.

This is a good cork team and well coached also, saw themselves through a sticky patch and they have an eye for goal. Home advantage huge for Kerry but wouldn’t write this group off

Re: Cork Minor Football
Yes, go out and give it a go, best luck, get ball quick inside to Sheedy and Coakley and we somewhere near competing.
We're tied into Connacht win lose or draw, who won that? I think it was the day our hurlers were knocked out so I just vomited for 12 hours straight . Excuse my passion
Watched a bit of Dublin v Kildare last night.
Saw something on twitter about Monaghan being denied a legitimate goal v Derry in the Ulster final

Re: Cork Minor Football
Best of luck to minors tonight.
Without getting labeled with the usual "beating Kerry only" mental block I and others have, tonight is not the be all and end all. I see talk of Clare throwing the Munster hurling final cause theyd have to beat that Limerick team 3 times to win the AI. That does spring to mind here I have to admit.
I'd like to see a good performance and a good game, both go through so the shackles off. Let's go beat em

It's hard to know which was the worse. Conceding one goal might be considered unlucky, conceding two ...
Heartbreaking after they had shown great resolve to draw level after the first goal.

Re: Cork Minor Football
Brilliant from Cork, very impressive football performance from the young fellas. I'm happy with that. The scoreline doesn't reflect the display.
Need to feed Coakley and Sheedy more
Cork are the better football team both with the hands on ball and in defence. This is what I want to see. A well coached team
I hate saying this but the scoreline doesn't bother me if you know what I mean.
Edit - Nah fuckit, let's go stuff em

For the first time I'm gonna disagree with ya Sean.
I liked what I saw from Cork, they played the better ball through the game. A well coached team. The goals killedi it

Re: Cork Minor Football
I though that, overall, Cork were the better team. They came back twice from goals, but stupid mistakes killed them. After Cork had levelled for the second time, the goalkeeper apparently gave away a throw in with a foul kick-out. Cork somehow got hold of the ball safely and then gave Kerry another close-in free with a third-man tackle. Kerry never looked back after that. Cork were unlucky with a shot which hit the crossbar and bounced out rather than in. Kerry were praying to their heathen gods today.
As someone mentioned on PROC, Kerry players were throwing themselves down like Premiership players.

Re: Cork Minor Football
There isn't much point in having a well coached team when you have a gombeen from Waterford with a whistle and a pocket full of yellow cards.
I've seen some weird refs in my time but Morrissey is king of the weirdos. Hard to credit giving a young lad a card for a shoulder hit. Not once either, was it six or seven?
Having said that Coakley and Sheedy were shut down easily by Kerry defenders and apart from Cullinane and O Leary we had little else to trouble the score keeper.
With a proper ref this team will win more matches but there isn't many of those refs about as far as I can see.
Gaelic football is a hard watch now and the senior game tomorrow will most likely be more of the same.

You started it. So PFO.
That ref was and is a proper flute and I don't need your expert analysis to tell me "Cmon"
Sleep it off Tipp, you'll feel better tomorrow.
