Nice lad at HT, 1-7 to 0-3, raced into a 1-6 to 0-0 score, most from play. Drive on

Tipperary finished the half with two pointed frees. They open the second half with a goal.

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Was at the game good win, great to see a cork team with a better first touch and better ability to win ruck ball than the opposition for once... a lot of prospects on the team but early days yet... the walshs from killeagh are serious hurlers but more importantly big athletes too
Oier o callaghan hurled very well corner back really attacked the ball and has lightning pace, not afraid to carry out of defense.. his mother is spanish i was told in the crowd thus the odd first name, o leary wing back was very good too in the 2nd half as our spare defender, fast and covered acres of ground... o flynn was well marked by 2 or 3 at all times but still got the vital first goal and looked dangerous... also gives us more space out the field when opposition defences are focusing on sitting on him
Tipp were very defensive, they managed to drag us down to their level for long stretcehes of the game but we eventually shook em off and our class told, they had a selector up in the stand doing stats on the laptop he was a disgrace some of the stuff he shouting at the ref trying to get young fellas sent off, theyre an awful shower tipp and u can never beat em by enough....
Dreading tomorrow night when they sew it into us at u20 level with their 2 harty cup final teams and minor team that won the all ireland last yr
Still a good win tonight and plenty potential there for a good yr if we can keep em fit, top marks to fraggy so far

Thanks for the report astnasquare, good report. Excellent to get the win, 2 from 2, sets us up nicely with 2 away games to come thick and fast against what are arguably better opponents, so far so good, what's the situation re semis and final, I know the 20s is top team qualifies for a final against the winner of 2 v 3rd?

Ya i had assumed it was the same qualifying scenario as u20 but not sure on that... ya limerick are the barometer at all levels now and clare will be tough too and both are away... there's a break of a wk first tho

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Well beaten in the end.
Terrible in the second half, outclassed really. Only scored 4 points and didn't register a score for 24 minutes. Not as good a team as I thought anyway. No all ireland there

12 points is a miserable score at the conclusions of any game of hurling. I'm only following it on twitter so I can't speak for the weather in Sixmilebridge, but it's dry here (East Cork).
Looks like the minors have finally hit the wall as I can't see them going any further. Fingers crossed that the Under 20's do better - a lot better.

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Ya watched it online desperately disappointing stuff... just when i thought we were making ground at underage level as regards S&C looks like we're still miles off it... clare were far bigger than us all over the field and theyre hurling was far better too, thought we had a handy bunch this yr but this is an eye opener we're miles off, and to think limerick beat that clare team then
Most disappointing thing by far tonight was the lack of fight and heart in the 2nd half when things were going against us... if ur beaten by a better team fair enough but if u have a cork jersey on ur back u should always be expected to go down fighting at least, unfortunately more and more of our teams go down without a fight these and throw in the towel far too easily

Next time they might tell us what day the match is on
Limerick 0-10, Cork 0-9 at HT. Cork never led. Need a big second half, said the same last week and look how that turned out

Looking back through the twitter thread, I notice that Oier O’Callaghan was replaced by Sean O’Callaghan on 9 minutes. Surely an injury?

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Great result - very spirited performance - free taker Walsh was very solid, likewise Biggane, center back Ben Walsh and subs that came on contributed
Great to see their work rate and grit - they had to fight for it
Overall the better team
Well done lads

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Won 0-20 to 1-14.
Mighty stuff.
Followed the second half on Twitter. Excruciating.
A great way to respond to last week's disappointment.
Seemed that they tightened up in the second half, restricted Limerick to 1-1 from play.
2 subs who came in scored straight away.
Goalkeeper went off injured it appears.
Cork have a home final now to look forward to.

Re: Cork Minor Hurling
Good win, made hard work of it at times, limerick got a good few of their scores from our mistakes, our half back line were under serious pressure from their puckouts in the 1st half, theyre half forward line scored 6points from play in the 1st half but we tightened up better in the 2nd and attacked the sliotar better in the air still need to be better and more aggressive on the ruck ball....
Good win and great to have a home final, plenty room for improvement though and will be needed as clare are a serious outfit, will badly need to have the injuries cleared up... importance of the bench and having a strong panel showed again tonight as it did against clare at u20 level..... forwards fought much harder for it tonight up front, lynch from youghal was strong in the air and offered another option plus got two great points, needs to be sharper with ball on the ground tho
Think the new system off more games in munster will suit us down to the ground at all levels for developing players, how many yrs were we beaten in the first by limerick and were out before the leaving cert even started and the likes of tipp and limerick minor teams were training all the way into sept contesting all ireland finals, it was totally killing our development as standard of our club and schools competitions wasn't strong enough to develop players
